Ladoga, Ind June 1 -- Mrs. John Martz, aged 68, died at her home here this morning at 3 o'clock. Her death came after an illness of more than a year although she has been confined to her bed for only about 3 weeks. Cancer of the stomach was responsible for her death. Mrs. Martz has been a resident of Ladoga for 8 years. Before her marriage to John Martz 50 years ago and up to the time the family moved to Ladoga she lived near Darlington. Her maiden name was Mary Foust. She is survived by her husband, three daughters: Mrs. Anna Cosby of New Market; Mrs. Alma Drake of Manchester, Tenn; and Mrs. Myrtle Hooper of Ladoga; four sons, Walter and Lee of Darlington; Lon of Hammond, and Charles of Ladoga; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Flannigan of Indianapolis; Mrs. Phebe Hampton of Darlington; four brothers, Frank of Frankfort; George of Darlington and Milton and Charles of Chicago. The deceased wa sa member of the Lutheran Church of Darlington and the funeral services will be held there Monday morning at 10 o'clock. -- kbz

Mrs. John Martz, aged 68, died at her home in Ladoga Saturday morning. Althou confined to her bed only three weeks, she had suffered more than a year. She was formerly Miss Mary Foust and was married to John Martz 50 years ago. Except the last 8 years she had lived near Darlington. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, four sons, two sisters and four brothers. - kbz
